Ken Fashion 1964 #0778 KEN IN MEXICO( and some other dresses with his ‘Mexican white braid’)

KEN IN MEXICO has a lot of trim, but the overall sewing is simplified.

this outfit has a ‘simplified short-sleeved shirt’ which is made of 4 patterns(4 fabric parts). In this shirt, the sewing work is simplified to the limit. for example the short-sleeved shirts of 1961 outfits(#783 Sport Shorts/#785 Dream Boat) has 10 pattern parts, also the 1962 fashion PAKs(Pattern Print shirt/Solid Color Sport Shirt) has 9 pattern parts. the Ken in Mexico’s shirt is less than half of them, it’s composed of only 4 parts.

This ‘simplified short-sleeved shirt’ appeared in 1964 and it was also set in 1964 #1411 Victory Dance other than #0778 Ken In Mexico. The same shirt was further simplified and reappeared in 1966 #1421 Seein’ The Sights.

Also-the Mexican coat is made of only 3 fabric parts(2 sleeves and 1 body).

coat-3 patterns: brown fleece fabric(3), label, black cord(trim), white braid(trim), silver cord(decoration button)

Short sleeved white shirt-4 patterns:white cotton fabric(4), label, 2 snaps, 3 buttons/sewn collar

Trousers-2 patterns:brown fleece fabric(2), 1 snap, YKK zipper, black cord(trim/feet strap), white braid(trim)

Cummerbund-1 pattern:green satin fabric(1), black elastic band

bow-tie: thin black grosgrain ribbon

sombrero: brown fleece fabric, black cord(trim), white braid(trim), green ric-rac(trim), white cord(trim), green thread, metal parts, thin black string(chin strap),toggle

I’ve also shown the pink dress. a friend of mine discovered that the dress uses the same white braid as Ken In Mexico(please scroll down and see picture). the braid on the pink dress is out of shape, a little loose and fluffy due to washing or playing though, I counted and confirmed the texture.

I also counted how many centimeters the white braid is used on ‘Ken In Mexico’ outfit, surprisingly approximately 200cm white braid is used for one outfit! probably there was a lot of leftovers.

この衣装にはたくさんのトリム(装飾)が付けられています、しかし縫製は全体的に簡略化されていると思います。

この衣装には縫製作業が最大まで簡略化された半そでシャツがセットされています。たとえば1961年の半そでシャツは10枚のパターン(#783 Sport Shorts/#785 Dream Boat)、また1962年fashionPAKの半そでシャツは9枚のパターン(Pattern Print shirt/Solid Color Sport Shirt)で作られていますが、この簡略化されたシャツは4枚しかパターンがありません。

この4枚パターンの半そでシャツは、1964年の2つの衣装#0778 Ken In Mexico /#1411 Victory Danceに登場しました。このシャツはさらに簡略化されて1966年に再登場しました（#1421 Seein’ The Sights).

ジャケットのパターン数も少ない、3枚のパターンで構成されています（袖2枚、ボディ1枚)。

私の友人はこのピンク色のドレスにKen In Mexicoと同じ白色のブレードが使われていることを発見しました。洗濯か遊びによりブレードはゆるくなっていますが、編まれている数は同じです。

１着のKen In Mexicoには約200㎝の白色のブレードが使われています。おそらくこの白色のブレードは沢山余ったと思います。
