Japanese brocade fabric is mostly used for Japanese traditional doll, fashion, buddhist equipment, accessories, and interior. still there are many brocade fabric manufacturers all over Japan, new textile designs are made every year to meet various user needs.
Barbie fashion 1959 #911 Golden Girl, #961 Evening Splendour, and Ken fashion 1964 #0772 The Prince used the same textile design fabric with Japanese lucky-charms. this fabric was testified as ‘custom order fabric’ by a former staff of Kokusai Boueki in a Japanese Barbie fan book which was published in 1990’s.
Fabric which is woven only with the ground colour and one added colour is possible to use both sides.

地色と加えられた1色のみで織られた生地は両面を使う事ができます。
白色×金色のデザイン/金色の緯糸で柄を織っている生地は1959 #911 Golden Girl, #961 Evening Splendourに使われました。
緑色×金色のデザイン/金色の緯糸で柄を織っている生地は1964 #0772 The Princeに使われました。The Princeのジャケットはこの生地の表面を使っているデザインです。
